There is a controversial opinion to Black Square as a new beginning in art. It is quite reasonable to compare it with off TV. It came after futurism with a furious desire to close this one. It came on the timescale of Art History after academicism, or pinnacle of realism.

The most important to me here is that Malvich came to the point when he created the art that equals itself. Representation and image are bound together. You can't divide the square and the representation of it.
