This article is a reference to another one written by author Jeremy Divinity and saying about palm trees.
The thing is I don’t have any of them where I live. But I’ve found this quite inspiring to look around and to think about influence of our environment.

Since childhood I remember these giant oaks around me in a forest. I also know my feelings then, and what people think now — we don’t notice them. The paradox is they are so tremendous, but no one think about them.

Do you see what I see? Own photograph

“The tree which moves some to tears of joy is in the eyes of others only a green thing that stands in the way. Some see nature all ridicule and deformity and some scarce see nature at all. But to the eyes of the man of imagination, nature is imagination itself.” — William Blake

Palm trees look like flowers because of their slim trunk. Oak trees, if you look carefully, are similar to suffering plants because they hold a large amount of weight which comes from heavy, enormous branches scattered everywhere.

We can connect ourselves with one of this types. The oak trees are antifragile, externally heavy. What can happen with them in hurricane? Nothing most of the time because of their durability. But if it’s time to die, they don’t break down, they just entirely fall to the ground. Maximalists!

The most important part of the palm trees is on the top, when we find branches full of smooth, vividly green leaves. To reach this part, our eyes are following through long monochrome trunk. The palm trees are flexible and elegant.

The fact about life of these trees. The palm trees live around 100 years. The oak trees can live up to 1000 years (e. g. Bowthorpe Oak).

Analogy may be one of the best means because in association with something external is a potency for imagination and capability to settle down. It will help you to look deep down and figure out new properties about yourself. There is a chance we’ll do it together another time.
