It is interesting how you use sentences as "good art" and "genuine art" which is a part of traditional narrative and talk about something that stands beyond it.
It seems you conceptualised the idea of contemporary art unlike modern art which is valuable to me. The only problem is how we are going to inwardly distinguish art that is made with this same inner intention of creating the novelty.
I prefer to appeal to distinct concepts, because otherwise your conception doesn't seem to be appropriate for Art History in a way that subject matter has been similar for centuries.
Indeed, from Tracey Emin's 'My Bed' we can make a conclusion that shocking and provocative is not necessarily new. It seems to refer to ready-made, but the conception is not there at all, because her work doesn't change any contexts inside it.
