In my humble opinion, it is about the process of creating artwork. This is an extension of it. Traditionally, when you create a painting, you pick up a canvas or a piece of sheet and move from blank paper to image. Here Rauschenberg lengthens this process. Eventually, I think it is a conceptual art without a doubt. That's what I see in this case behind the phrase "Redefine and rediscover limits of art". Thank you for writing!
